Welcome to Kokoro Nikki. By using this application, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Kokoro Nikki, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the application.
2. Description of Service
Kokoro Nikki is a journaling application featuring AI-powered emotion analysis, voice transcription, seasonal themes, and culturally-inspired visualizations. Full access to these features requires a premium subscription. The annual plan includes a 7-day free trial for first-time subscribers; the monthly plan is a direct purchase without a trial.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Kokoro Nikki. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent.
4. Intellectual Property
All content, design, code, and trademarks in Kokoro Nikki are owned by Moreno Preto. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission. Your journal entries remain your property.
5. User Conduct
You agree not to: reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app; use the app for illegal purposes; attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems; interfere with other users' use of the app.
6. Advertising
Kokoro Nikki does not display advertisements. The app contains no advertising SDK and shows no banner, interstitial, or rewarded ads. We do run marketing campaigns on external platforms and measure their results with attribution data, which is described in the Privacy Policy. If this ever changes, these Terms will be updated before any advertising is introduced in the app.
7. Subscriptions & Purchases
Kokoro Nikki offers two subscription plans: monthly and annual. Subscriptions are purchased and managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. The annual plan includes a 7-day free trial for eligible first-time subscribers. The trial is started through the store and therefore requires a valid payment method. At the end of the 7 days, the trial converts automatically into a paid annual subscription at the price shown in the store, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. The monthly plan is a direct purchase and does not include a trial. You can cancel at any time from your store subscription settings (iOS: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions; Android: Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions), and you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. If you do not subscribe, or once a subscription ends, your existing entries remain readable and exportable; creating new entries and generating new AI content require an active subscription. Subscribers who were already active before this model took effect keep the terms under which they subscribed. Prices are shown in the store at the time of purchase. Refund policies are governed by the respective store's terms.
8. Apple End User License Agreement (EULA)
If you download Kokoro Nikki via the Apple App Store, your use of the app is also governed by Apple's standard End User License Agreement. You can review the full Apple EULA here: Apple Standard EULA.
9. Your Data
Journal entries and recordings are stored on your device. There is no cloud sync and we keep no copy of your journal on our servers. You can export or delete your data at any time. See our Privacy Policy for details.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
Kokoro Nikki is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI analysis will be perfectly accurate. The app is not a substitute for professional mental health care.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Moreno Preto shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
12. Modifications to the App
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the app at any time. We will provide reasonable notice for significant changes.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in your jurisdiction. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of your place of residence.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
