Delete Your Account

Delete your account from the app

1. Open the Kokoro Nikki app and make sure you are signed in.
2. Go to the Settings tab.
3. Scroll down and tap "Delete Account".
4. Confirm by tapping "Delete permanently".

Your account and journal data are deleted immediately and permanently. This action cannot be undone.

Request deletion by email

If you can't access the app, email us from the address associated with your account with the subject "Delete my account". We verify the request and complete the deletion within 30 days.

What data is deleted

• Your account and login credentials
• Your profile information
• All journal entries and their content
• AI emotion analyses and any generated insights
• Voice transcriptions and inner-landscape images linked to your account
• Your subscription association within the app

Data retention

Most data is removed immediately. A small amount may persist briefly for technical or legal reasons:

• Server data (account, entries, analyses): deleted immediately and permanently.
• Encrypted database backups: automatically purged within 30 days.
• Data stored locally on your device: removed when you delete your account or uninstall the app.
• Purchases and subscriptions are handled by the App Store or Google Play — we do not store your payment details. Minimal transaction records may be retained where required by law (e.g. tax and accounting) for the legally mandated period.

Deleting only some of your data

You don't have to delete your whole account to remove data. You can delete individual journal entries inside the app at any time, or email us to request deletion of specific data while keeping your account.
